SFP WDM 1G module, LC Simplex, 80 km, 1550/1490 nm — intended for a gigabit link over a single fibre where the second strand is taken or absent. The medium is G.652 single-mode fibre with an LC pair, or a single strand for bidirectional modules.

Specifications

Single-fibre modules only work in pairs: one end transmits on one wavelength, the other on the opposite one. Order both modules of the pair — on its own the link will not come up.

On compatibility. Switches from many vendors check the coding in the module EEPROM and may reject a third-party transceiver or accept it with a warning in the log. Tell us the switch or server model before ordering and we will supply a module with the right firmware and check it against the compatibility list.
