It runs at a 3.4 GHz base frequency with Turbo Boost up to 4.6 GHz, has 8 MB of L3 cache and 4 × 256 KB of L2 cache, and dissipates 71 W. It fits the Socket LGA1151 and has no integrated graphics.

The processor supports dual-channel DDR4 memory at 2666 MHz (PC4-21300) up to 128 GB, with or without ECC, provides 16 PCI Express lanes and works with Intel Optane Memory.
