HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 is an enterprise-class RAID controller for HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers. The type-A modular controller improves performance of messaging, database and server applications when connected to 12 Gbit/s internal storage ports.
It provides 8 internal SAS lanes through two x4 Mini-SAS connectors (SAS 12 Gbit/s and SATA 6 Gbit/s per lane), uses a PCI Express 3.0 x8 interface and carries 2 GB of flash-backed write cache (FBWC). RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, 1 ADM and 10 ADM are supported. SR Secure Encryption and SR SmartCache are available with an additional license.
