HPE DL38X Gen10 Plus x8/x16/x8 Secondary Riser Kit is a three-slot secondary PCIe riser for ProLiant DL380 and DL385 Gen10 Plus servers. It occupies the second expansion zone at the rear of the chassis and adds x8, x16 and x8 slots (PCIe 4.0) wired to the second processor. It is the standard way to fit more network adapters, RAID controllers, HBAs or a GPU accelerator.
The x16 slot takes full-height cards, including single GPUs and 100G adapters. A second processor must be installed for the riser to work; otherwise the slots stay inactive. The kit contains the riser board and mounting frame. HPE part number P14587-B21.
