HPE DL380 Gen10 Plus 2U 8SFF (4PORT) Tri-Mode 24G U.3 BC Front Drive Cage Kit is a front cage for eight 2.5-inch drives in the ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus with a tri-mode backplane. Each U.3 bay accepts SAS 24G, SATA 6G or NVMe x4 drives; the mode is set by the controller the backplane is attached to. You can build the server around today's SAS drives and move to NVMe later without replacing the cage.

The backplane with four x4 ports connects to HPE MR416i-p/MR416i-a tri-mode controllers or directly to NVMe risers. Trays are the Basic Carrier (BC) type used in Gen10 Plus.
