HPE DL380 Gen10 Plus 2-port 4NVMe x16 SlimSAS Secondary Riser Kit is a secondary riser for the ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus that brings 16 PCIe lanes from the second processor out to two SlimSAS x8 ports. Through them four U.2/U.3 NVMe drives connect to the cage directly, without a tri-mode controller, with full x4 bandwidth per drive and minimal latency.
The riser is used with 8SFF front NVMe cages when drives should hang off the second CPU to offload the first one's lanes. The kit contains the riser board and SlimSAS cables to the backplane. A second processor must be installed. HPE part number P27089-B21; the matching primary-slot riser is P27090-B21.
