HP 2m Mini-SAS Cable is an external SAS cable, 2 m long, with Mini-SAS 4x (SFF-8088) connectors on both ends. It connects external disk enclosures, tape libraries and autoloaders to HP Smart Array controllers and HBAs that have external Mini-SAS ports. Four SAS lanes in one cable give an aggregate throughput of up to 24 Gbps at 6 Gbps per lane.
The latching connectors lock firmly in the port and are designed for hot-plugging. The 2 m length lets you place the enclosure in adjacent rack units or in the next rack. For equipment with Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644) ports, use the HPE External Mini SAS HD cable instead.
