DELL 13G R730/T630 SFF 2.5″ Caddy is a hot-swap drive tray for 2.5-inch SAS and SATA drives in Dell PowerEdge 11th to 13th generation servers. Dell part number G176J (0G176J) is the most common Dell SFF tray and fits the R620, R630, R720, R720xd, R730, R730xd, T630, R830, R930 and other models with a 2.5-inch backplane.
You need a caddy when adding drives to empty bays or installing third-party drives: without a tray the drive cannot be seated in the cage. The tray has a latching lever, light pipes for the activity and fault LEDs, and four screws to secure the drive. 14th generation and newer servers (R640, R740 onwards) use a different tray.
