A 5 m passive copper SFP+ DAC cable for links between neighbouring racks in the same row: a server and an aggregation switch one rack over, a storage array in one rack and hosts in the next, or a link between two top-of-rack switches. Five metres is enough to run along the overhead tray or through the side managers of two racks and still leave slack for tidy dressing.
